Prince William Parkway and Coloriver Rd. Intersection

You may have noticed recently double yellow lines in the crossover of the Prince William Parkway at Coloriver Road. The HOA has received numerous complaints over the years regarding vehicles impatiently pulling into this crossover when another car is already waiting to merge onto the Parkway from the crossover.  This illegal and dangerous practice was reviewed with both the police and VDOT to determine what, if anything, could be done to stop the practice.  Thus far the intersection does not qualify for a stoplight. In lieu of a stoplight, the police will watch the intersection more closely and ticket violators. VDOT painted double yellow stripes to assist drivers in safely crossing over the Parkway…. one vehicle at a time!  Avoid a fine and help reduce the danger of this intersection by waiting for the vehicle in the crossover to clear before pulling out.
